The Minister of Youth and Sports , Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, at a regular visit on the 14th January,2 019 inspected the final lap of the renovation work at the Accra Sports Stadium. The renovation is expected to be completed this year, to pave way for full time sporting activities.

Speaking to NSA NEWS, the Minister expressed satisfaction with the work being done by the contractor and indicated that other facilities like the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and the Esipon Sports Stadium will undergo similar renovations. It will be recalled that the Hon. Minister has toured all the ten regions where sports resource centers are being constructed by the Government to help develop sports, promote recreation and to provide the needed platform to create jobs at the grassroots level.
