The Director-General of the National Sports Authority, Prof. Peter Twumasi was the Guest of Honour at the 44th MTN SWAG Awards media launch that took place at the MTN Heights a fortnight ago. In his speech, he took the opportunity to advise federations and associations which resort to the law courts for settlement of sporting related issues to consider out of court settlement through arbitration. He explained that the NSA, which is the regulatory body for sports in Ghana, has the capacity to resolve all these issues. He further stated that this unfortunate situation to litigate in court at any given instance is impeding sports development and in the long run, talented athletes who depend on sports for a living are the most affected.
