The three-member committee to find a solution to the impasse that delayed the Ghana Athletics Association’s congress chaired by Prof. Menyeh presented its report to the director-general of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Prof. Peter Twumasi on Monday, 15th April 2019. The committee is to also make recommendations to guide the association’s future performances.
The following recommendations made by the committee: persons should be effected should get the approval of the congress by the Secretary-General for the awareness of all the delegates.
Ex-president or chairmen can be made ordinary members without voting but should be the approval of the congress. This would give past official’s recognition and bring on board their experiences.
Also, the Secretary-General should provide the information to the nominated persons early to give them enough time to prepare for the congress
The GAA has to fix the election date not less than a month after the settlement for completing work ahead of the GAA’s next court appearance on 29.
