The Director General for National Sports Authority, Hon. Professor Peter Twumasi has congratulated the Ghana National female team, the Black Queens for their heroics at the just ended WAFU Zone B tournament held in Cote D’ivoire.
Hon. Professor Twumasi, who joined a team of Officials including the NSA Board Chairman Honourable Kwadwo Baah Agyemang and Madam Naa Odofoley Nortey a member of the Ghana Football Normalization Committee to welcome the Black Queens at the Kotoka International Airport upon their return noted that, though the team couldn’t defend the trophy won in the previous edition, they had performed well to consistently be in the top three.
He said all was not lost for the Black Queens, with the blend of youthful qualities, the future was bright for the team.
“The whole nation is proud of your achievement, though you couldn’t defend your title, you also didn’t come home empty handed.
“This should propel you for greater and future challenges and I know and believe that with what you exhibited at the just ended WAFU Zone B tournament, you would make the nation proud in the future”.
