NSA, GOC Welcomes Tripple Gold Medalist Amoah.

The National Sports Authority and the Ghana Olympic Committee this afternoon welcomed Ghanaian weightlifting champion Christian Amoah at the Kotoka International Airport.

The sensational weightlifter bagged three gold medals from the just ended African weightlifting championship in Uganda in the 89kg weightlifting category.

Speaking to the media upon his arrival, the young triple gold medalist attributed his achievements to his hard work adding that he will put in more efforts to ensure he wins medals in other competitions for the country.

He further appealed to the Government and other stakeholders to support athletes to compete in the weightlifting discipline with the hope of decreasing the unemployment situation in the country.

Present at the arrival were the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah, Mr. Abeku Wilson, Head of technical at the National Sports Authority and the Head of public relations at the National Sports Authority, Mr. Charles K.O. Amofah.

Amoah who is anticipated to become the face of Ghana weightlifting also won three bronze medals in the 89kg weightlifting category at this year’s African Games in Rabat, Morocco.
