As part of government efforts to contruct ten (10) new stadia in the 10 old regions in the country, The Director-General of National Sports Authority Professor Peter Twumasi together with The Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Isaac Asiamah went to the Northern region to inspect the ongoing stadium project at Yendi.
The inspection commenced with a visit to Gbewa Palace in Yendi to pay homage to His Royal Majesty, the Yaa-Naa, Abubakari Yussif
Present at the visit were the MCE of Yendi, officials from Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Sports Authority, National Youth Authority and the Regional Coordinating Council.
The team were impressed with the progression of the works at the field.
