The Ghana Special Olympic team had a competition in Cairo Egypt from the 22nd – 29th January, 2020. They won 3 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals in football and athletics.
They paid a courtesy call on the Director General of The National Sports Authority, Professor Peter Twumasi immediately after their arrival in Ghana on the 30th of January 2020.
The Director General promised to support them with an amount ten thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 10,000).
