The Hockey Federation has organized a colorful closing ceremony of the African Cup For Club Champions (ACCC) which began on November 24 and ended on November 30, 2021.
The event, which took place at the Theodosia Okoh Stadium in Accra was graced by the Director General of National Sports Authority (NSA), Prof. Peter Twumasi.
Some important dignitaries from the Hockey federation were also present as well as Cooperate Ghana and the Local Chiefs (NII MEN).
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof Peter Twumasi congratulated all participants and urged them to keep up the good work.
He commended the organisers and stakeholders of the ACCC for successfully staging the competition.
The NSA Boss indicated that, all the winning teams ( the 3 female clubs and the 3 male clubs) will be bagging a total of 25 gold, silver and bronze medals.
He added, the tournament was held to promote unity and develop experience and new techniques hence, he is confident, the Association will put up a splendid performance during the 2023 African Games.
Prof. Twumasi concluded by officially announcing that, the AFRICA CUP FOR CLUB CHAMPIONS, has come to an end.
He also delivered a farewell message to all the African countries and wished all participants safe journey traveling back to their respective nations.
The ACCC was a competition for both male and female divisions from different African countries.
Ghana GRA (Royal Ladies) won the Trophy & Gold medal for the female competitors, the silver medal was won by team Nigerian (Delta Queens), while Ghana (Prison Ladies) clinched the bronze medal.
A Trophy and Gold medal were presented to TARAT from Egypt for emerging champions, second placed team, ZAMALEK also from Egypt was awarded a Silver medal with third place, KADA STARS of Nigeria, winning a Bronze medal.
