The National Sports Authority(NSA) engages stakeholders on e-ticketing

The National Sports Authority today,May,11,2022 engaged stakeholders on the E-Ticketing in a workshop to deliberate on the current implementation of the policy.

The Director General of NSA, Prof.Peter Twumasi in his opening remarks, explained the need for Ghanaians to embrace this initiative from the Vice President, H.E Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.He stated that, the engagement of stakeholders on how E-Ticketing works will continue to be a capacity building platform.He also added that, NSA will embrace E-Ticketing as the new system to eliminate the challenges associated with the cash system .

In a keynote address, The Board Chairman of NSA, Mr.Seth Panwam Boyoyo, mentioned that, the current electronic digitalization is a means through which the government seek to manage revenue from state agencies and as such Ghana.gov is mandated by the government to be in charge. He therefore appealed to the appropriate bodies to consider scheduling matches to evenings which could attract more spectators.

The technical team rep from Ghana.gov, King George demonstrated in a session on how the E-Ticketing platform works when transactions are made. He also touched on some challenges that they were confronted with in the previous match between Ghana vs Nigeria and measures taken to ensure future success. Concerns were raised by club reps and other stakeholders that have an agreement with NSA in using facilities.

Other key personalities present were the Deputy Director General NSA (Administration), Mr. Majid Bawa, Mr. Kudjo Fianu (Accra Great Olympics) , Mr Ansah (GHALCA).
