GCA arrives today

The Ghana Chess Association (GCA) will be arriving today, August 11, 2022 at the Kotoko International Airport via Ethiopia Airlines from the just ended Chess Olympaid.

The tournament commenced on July 27 to August 10, 2022. One hundred and eighty seven (187) countries participated, team Ghana was part of the countries that won titles.

They made some remarkable achievements at the end of the tournament.

Team Ghana had two titles, Air Commodore George Kweku Arko-Dadzie (Deputy Commandant, KAIPTC) being the first Ghanaian to be awarded the International Arbiter’s Title and also, the only African elected as a FIDE Scrutineer to oversee FIDE elections.

Christiana Ashley was awarded the most Outstanding Africa Chess Administrator. FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022
