Yesterday 17th August, 2022 at the Media Center of the Accra Sports Stadium, some executive members of the Ghana Volleyball paid courtesy call to the Director General of NSA, Prof. Peter Twumasi.
Their purpose of the visit was to be sworn in the newly acquired position of the President, Mr. George Tettey (Esq.) and Vice President (Alhassan Sumani) due to the demise of their President, Mr. Paul Atchoe and also, to present trophies won by the team during their tournament Zone 3 Nations Cup in Abidjan, Cote Divoire on 3rd to 10 of August, 2022. Other countries that participated include, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, Niger and Liberia.
Ghana won ten (10) trophies out of twelve(12). They were awarded the first position with a trophy (Men and Women). The team dedicated it to the late Mr. Paul Atchoe (Ex President)

Speaking at the gathering, the Director General, Prof Peter Twumasi expressed his excitement in their achievements and encouraged them to do more for the team and the nation.
He congratulated them on behalf of the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo and his sector Minister, Hon. Mustapha Yussif.
He wished them the best moving forward and advised they set a mark to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He also assured them of working closely to draw all the resources for the team to be able to get to any level when the need be.
Prof. Peter Twumasi, presented and amount of ten thousand Ghana cedis (GHS 10,000.00) as a token of the NSA’s appreciation for their impressive performance.
