The National Sports Authority (NSA) has inaugurated a seven(7) Member Entity Project Committee to oversee the Management of Projects and Investments entered into by the Authority.
The Committee, which is a fulfilment of the Public Financial Management (Public Investment Management) Regulations, 2022, LI 24 11 is mandated to review Project Concepts, Project Feasibility Reports and recommend the submission of the Project notes, review Public Investment Plan to ensure consistency with the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and recommend approval of the Public Investment Plan among others.
Inaugurating the Committee in a brief ceremony held at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Projects Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Alhaji Sani Mohammed Adams advisedmembers of the Committee to work within the confines of the Law in the execution of their mandate adding that the Committee must work earnestly to meet their objectives whiles generating Funds for the Authority and justifying expenditure.
He further admonished the Committee to be efficient and effective, add economic value to their operations and ensure the validity of projects executed.
On his part, the Chairman of the Committee, Prof Peter Twumasi expressed his satisfaction over the fulfilment of this government directive and pledged that His Committee would work professionally and zealously with all stakeholders to ensure that the Investments and Projects of the Authority are executed within the confines of the Law.
The members of the Committee are Prof. Peter Twumasi, Director General of the National Sports Authority , Jeffrey Manzan Owusu, Director of Sports Promotion, Abukari Mohammed Mahmoud, Head of Accounts Department, Ebenezer T. Ohene, Head of Procurement Department and John Ebo Andorful, Head of Estate Department.
The rest are Richard Yeboah, Head of Public Investment Unit, Esq. Dodzi Dzidula, Head of Legal Unit, all of the NSA, Two adhoc members from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and One Member from the Office of the Attorney General.
