Ghana Rugby pays courtesy call on Director General

The Ghana Rugby Federation has paid a courtesy call on the Director General of National Sports Authority, Prof. Peter Twumasi to present Trophies won in Mauritius.

The Female Team came 2nd in the final with DR Congo after beating their counterparts Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Zimbabwe to emerge winner in group B stage.

Leader of delegation Madam Rafatu Inusah handing over the trophy explained that, due to some mishaps, they had to represent with less players, moreover, the fallout from the Men’s team motivated them to put in their best as the men’s team came 4th.

The Dep. Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) in charge of Technical, Mr Kwame Amponfi Jnr, congratulated the technical team for focusing on championing the course of the technical department as well as the mandate for sports development.

He urged the team to continue with the good works as they work tirelessly to put Ghana on the international stage.

Prof. Peter Twumasi, took the opportunity to receive the trophy and congratulated them on their feat.

He made it known to the Federation, that the special interest by HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to permit the federation to access all the facilities of the stadium to enhance training is in order.

He noted that, the federation has impacted the youth whilst creating alternatives for the grassroots development.

The Coach for the team reiterated the need to focus on unleashing talents with the support from the technical team.

Other team members present were, Anita Halm,Hadrian Nimatu, Rahael Dede, Nakita, Barikisu ,Victoria Arthur, Rada Arthur, Sandra Odame, Francis Mensah.
