Accra, 19th May 2025 — As part of preparations for the upcoming Civil Service Week Celebration, a delegation from the Planning Committee, led by Chairperson Mrs. Wilhelmina Asamoah, paid a courtesy call on the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, to formally inform him of the event and seek collaboration.
The celebration, scheduled for Wednesday, 16th July to Thursday, 24th July 2025, will feature a range of activities, including sporting competitions such as football, long tennis, table tennis and athletics.
The Planning Committee requested the use of NSA facilities to host these sporting events and sought guidance on the necessary protocols and procedures for accessing the venues.
In response, Mr. Ampofo Ankrah welcomed the visit and expressed the Authority’s willingness to support the event. He requested that the committee share a detailed schedule of activities to allow for proper coordination and planning. He emphasized the importance of early planning and collaboration to ensure a successful celebration.
“We look forward to working with you,” the Director General said. “Once we receive your full schedule, we’ll determine.
The Planning Committee expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and pledged to follow up with the required documentation and program schedule. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from the delegation, after which the team dispersed.
