The National Sports Authority (NSA) has donated an amount of Ghȼ10,000 to the Ghana Powerlifting Federation.
At a brief ceremony, this afternoon in Accra, the Director-General of the NSA Professor Peter Twumasi congratulated the federation for their remarkable achievement at the just ended Commonwealth Games in Canada adding that, the gesture is intended to support the federation so as to help develop the Powerlifting discipline.
He further appealed to corporate organizations to come on board to support the least financed sports as Ghana seeks to successfully host and win more medals in the 2023 African Games.
Present at the ceremony was four gold medalist, Juliana Arko who presented the medals to the Director-General and appealed to him to support the federation by providing standard training facilities to ensure they win more laurels in future competitions.
