Ghana’s Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif Arrives In Tokyo For The Olympic Games

Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon Mustapha Ussif (MP), on Sunday July 25, 2021 arrived in Tokyo to offer support for Team Ghana at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games currently ongoing in Japan.

The Minister, upon arrival in the capital was met at Narita Airport by the Director General of National Sports Authority, Prof Peter Twumasi, Ministry of Youth & Sports Deputy Human Resource Director, Ms Francisca Atuluk, and officials from the Ghana Embassy in Japan led by Mr Aikins Abrokwah who represented H.E. Ambassador Frank Okyere. 

The Minister was also accompanied by the President of Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Mr Ben Nunoo. 

Hon Mustapha Ussif is expected to attend the first bout ofGhanaian Flyweight boxer, Sulemanu Tetteh in the early hours of Monday July 26, 2021.

He will later meet the entire Ghanaian contingent who had been in Tokyo for the past three weeks preparing adequately for the global sporting event.
