Officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) and the National Sports Authority (NSA) have interacted with the Mayor of Inawashiro, Hiroshi Zongo.
The meeting, held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Ghana’s Embassy in Japan form part of efforts to engage development partners, home and abroad for the realization of social and economic growth of Ghana’s sports industry.
Ghana’s Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif, after meeting with the Ambassador H.E. Frank Okyere and staff of the mission, thanked the Mayor of Inawashiro for hosting Team Ghana ahead of the Olympic games.
The Minister took the opportunity to invite the mayor and city of Inawashiro to take interest in Ghana’s hosting of the African Games in 2023.
Present at the meeting were the Director General of National Sports Authority, Professor Peter Twumasi, President of Ghana Olympic Committee, Ben Nunoo Mensah, Deputy Director of HR-Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ms Francisca Atuluk, and staff of the Embassy in Japan including Minister-Consular and Deputy, Ms Abigail Quarshie and Mr Aikins Abrokwah respectively.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s Ambassador to Japan, His Excellency Frank Okyere assured the Minister of the Embassy’s preparedness to facilitate Ghana-Japan partnership.
