NSA INAUGURATE LOC FOR AFRICAN JIU-JITSU

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the African JIU-JITSU Open Championship scheduled to be hosted in Accra from 15th-16th July 2023 has been inaugurated at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The two-day Championship is expected to assemble over 16 countries from Africa and beyond.

Inaugurating the committee, Prof. Peter Twumasi, Director General, NSA applauded the federation for winning the bid to host the championship, despite being relatively new among the Sporting Associations under the Authority.

He noted that the experience from hosting the open championship will be useful to stakeholders as Ghana prepares to host the 2023 All African games.

Prof. Twumasi thanked the leadership of H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for the infrastructural development across the nation and appreciated the sector Minister, Hon. Mustapha Ussif for the support in uplifting the less popular sports.

On his part, the President for the Federation, Mr. Maxwell Borquaye, was full of Praise for the massive
support his Federation has received for the successful hosting of the championship.

He entreated all members of the LOC to work together for a successful competition.
