NSA Central Region Gets Busy Ahead of Upcoming Football Season

The National sports authority, central region has embarked on series of activities to get the Cape coast sports stadium in perfect shape for the upcoming 2020/2021 football season. This follows the easing of restrictions on top notch football( Ghana Premier league and other CAF/FIFA matches) by HE the President of the Republic of Ghana.


To ensure that matches played at the Cape coast sports stadium are without hitches, management and workers at the National sports Authority are replacing the 85 faulty flood light bulbs to meet the required LUX intensity of matches played in the evening.Works on the floodlight commenced today, Thirsday, 22nd October 2020 and it is expected to be completed on Saturday, 24th October, 2020.
Again, works on the pitch commenced months ago and ready for the upcoming season.


The scoreboard has also been repaired and the Gen set is also in good condition.
Workers organized a massive clean up exercise to clean the stands, washrooms and the general environment all to ensure that the stadium is cleaned for football and other activities.


Painting of changing rooms, referees room, and corridors and other areas is scheduled to commence on Friday, 23rd of October, 2020.
Other activities will be undertaken to render the Cape coast sports stadium fit and ready to host football matches in the upcoming season.
