President of the GSA and the Team Pays an Official Visit to NSA Boss for Support

On Friday, August 20 2021, the President of the Ghana Swimming Association, Mrs Delphina Quaye and her vice along with other executive members paid a formal visit to the Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Prof. Peter Twumasi to discuss matters concerning the CANA Africa Jnr/Snr Swimming and Open Water Championship.

The visit intended to notify the Director-General about the upcoming tournament and also to implore for support from the National Sports Authority when time is due.

The tournament is set to begin on 11th to 17th October 2021 and will take place at the Trust Sports Emporium, Bukom Accra. This tournament is open to all 54 African countries which upon responses, 36 countries have so far confirmed their participation.

He commended the Swimming Federation for such a great initiative and assured them of the Authority’s full support for the tournament.

He expressed his gratitude for the visit and wished them well.

Present at the meeting were some management members of NSA, Mr. Kwame Amponfi Jnr (Acting Deputy Director Technical, NSA) Mr. Charles Amofah (Head of PR, NSA) and others.
