Prof Twumasi Inspects Cape Coast Stadium Ahead Of Ghana’s Clash With Ethiopia

Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Professor Peter Twumasi on Sunday, August 29, 2021 paid a visit to the Cape Coast Stadium where he inspected preparatory works ongoing at the stadium ahead of Ghana’s 2022 World Cup Qualifier against the Walias of Ethiopia.

The Central Regional Directorate of the (NSA) has been preparing the 15,000 capacity stadium for the past few weeks as Ghana gear up to lock horns with their Ethiopian counterparts in a World Cup qualifier this Friday, September 03, 2021.

Intervention works such as pitch maintenance which involves fertilizer application and grass care, sanitation improvement and many others have all been put in place as part of the regular maintenance tasks done before using the facility.

Present during the inspection were the Acting Central Regional Director of NSA, Mr Alexander Ofori Tieku , CEO of Green Grass Technology, Mr Frank Boahen, Central Regional Estate Manager of NSA, Ms Eva Oteng , and other staff of the Authority.

The NSA boss Prof. Twumasi in his visit observed that, all critical works have been completed successfully with other necessary minor activities currently ongoing to make sure, the facility is fully ready for the match.

It must also be noted that, the Central Regional Directorate embarked on a massive clean-up exercise last week as part of the preparatory works ahead of the international fixture to improve sanitation in and around the stadium and also to ensure, the game is staged in a safer and hygienic environment.
