Mr. Foster Kwame Opoku Boakye, Acting (Ag.) Bono Regional Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA) on Wednesday, September 08, 2021 led a delegation of Five (5) from his Regional Directorate to pay a courtesy call on the Regional Minister, Hon. Kwasi Adu Gyan.
The meeting was to formally introduce himself as the Ag. Regional Director of Bono and also, to inform the Minister of the creation of the new Bono East Regional Directorate of the NSA. The visit also provided an opportunity for a joint discussion over pertinent sports issues of mutual interest.
Present during the courtesy call were the Ag. Regional Director, Bono East Region, Mr. Sani Raphic Mohammed, Mr. Asare Boakye Emmanuel – Administrator of the Bono East, Jeffrey Adusei, the Accountant at the Bono East and Kusi Emmanuel Boakye Yiadom – Public Relations Officer of the Bono Regional NSA.
The Regional Minister, Hon. Kwasi Adu Gyan warmly welcomed the Ag. Directors and their staff to his office and encouraged them to work in earnestly for the growth and development of sports in the Bono and Bono-East Regions. He accordingly assured the Regional NSA of the Ministry’s support as and when they are called upon.
On his part, Mr. Foster Kwame Opoku Boakye thanked the Regional Minister for opening his arms and the warm reception during the visit. He also expressed his appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Director General of the NSA, Prof. Peter Twumasi for their immense support in the promotion and development of sports in Ghana.
Mr Opoku Boakye also assured the Regional Minister of their commitment, discipline, professionalism and collaboration with his office in their line of duties as they work to achieve sports excellence in the Bono East Region.
Mr. Foster Kwame Opoku Boakye and his team from the Bono Regional NSA after visiting the Regional Minister also called on the Regional Coordinating Director-Mr. George Padmore Mensah and the Municipal Coordinating Director-Mr. Hamza Inusah as well for similar purpose.
