The Ghana JU-JUTSU Federation Pays A Courtesy Call On The Director General Of The NSA

The Technical Director for the Ghana Ju-Jutsu Federation, Mr. Maxwell Borquaye in the company of the Global President of the World Combat Ju-Jutsu Federation, Mr.Vladyslav and some team members paid a courtesy call on the Director General of the National Sports Authority, Prof. Peter Twumasi, today, 8 October, 2021.

Mr. Maxwell Borquaye stated that the purpose of the meeting was to introduce Mr. Vladyslav the Global President of the World Combat Ju-Jutsu Federation to the Director General and discuss the possible hosting of the African championship Ghana in the year 2022.As part of their agenda he stated that they will be engaging the press tomorrow 9th and also hold a training session here at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vladyslav, expressed his gratitude for the support of the sports so far. He appealed to the Authority to assist with a West African office here in Ghana and also supports them in preparation ahead of the championship. He stated that ,the sports will not only serve as a leisure but also aid in sports development in Ghana. He disclosed that as young as the association was,it has earned the nation 3medals in the just ended Ukraine championship.

The Ag.Deputy Director General (Technical) of the National Sports Authority, Mr. Kwame Amponfi Jnr thanked the team on behalf of the Director General and was equally grateful for their visit and the initiative they brought on board. He assured them of the Authority’s willingness to support as he urged them to put in place the necessary documentation for the proposal so it could be forwarded to the Sports Minister through the Director General of the Authority for due consideration. Mr Amponfi urged the Federation to follow due process in all they do to attract possible state support.
