NSA Extends Message Of Congratulations To Black Stars And Black Princesses

The National Sports Authority (NSA) sends its warmest congratulatory message to the senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana for qualifying to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup following a 1-1 draw against Nigeria on Tuesday and outstanding 0-0 draw in Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium on the Friday March 25, 2022 with over 40,000 Ghanaian fans in attendance.

The feat was achieved after a fierce two-legged encounter that saw the Black Stars triumph over the Super Eagles on an away goal rule, having played a goalless draw against the Nigerians in Ghana last Friday.

The NSA by this release commends the entire technical team, the playing body, the government and all stakeholders whose unwavering contributions brought Ghana back to the global stage after missing out the 2018 edition in Russia.

It is the belief of the NSA, the team will continue to the World Cup and build upon the gains achieved by their predecessors.

The NSA also congratulates the Black Princesses of Ghana for booking a ticket to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

The Princesses are making their 6th consecutive appearance at the world cup after beating Ethiopia 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday, winning 5-1 on aggregate following a 3-0 score line earlier in Addis Ababa.
