NSA BOSS CHARGES ON GFA,DOUBTS ELIGIBILITY OF CAF STATEMENT ON BABA YARA STADIUM

“If there was any statement from the GFA,I expected the kind which will be showing appreciation to the NSA and the government for their role in ensuring facilities were available for the GFA matches and Ghana’s qualification to the World Cup but how did we even arrive at this point for such a statement to be released on the Baba Yara stadium.

We wrote to the GFA prior to our game against Nigeria asking them to reschedule the game from Cape Coast to Kumasi due to the independence anniversary celebration at the Cape Coast stadium but they insisted it was too late for such things to be done but eventually the game was played in Kumasi.

A one-match approval was given for the game to be played at the Baba Yara stadium and a further invitation by CAF to inspect all our facilities for the new season of CAF matches but as we speak there have not been any assessments at our stadia so how do we conclude that our facilities have been rejected by CAF for its matches.

I do not know where they generated that letter from because nobody from CAF has come to inspect our facilities for the new season of the CAF sanctioned matches. No one can tell me our facilities cannot hold international matches.I am very surprised this statement is coming from the GFA when they know the procedure for the CAF certification. In today’s world, you cannot throw dust into the public’s eye because people are very educative.

Our stadia is eligible to host any CAF sanctioned match. The GFA should write to us on which of the national stadia they want to use and it will be available for them. How can people conceive we do not have any international stadia to host a CAF sanctioned game,it is even embarrassing. We have much better facilities for our matches.

CAF cannot draw conclusions with its one-day inspection, maybe their letter is a template which they are circulating.Their officials who came to the Baba Yara stadium were so impressed, excited and so happy about what they saw.”
