The 2022 CAA Region II U-18/U-20 Championship day two commenced with commanding performances from some athletes. Each race started with a symbolic gunshot to signify the beginning of the race for the athletes.
In the U-18 100m Hurdles females, Latifatou Milogo and Odile Kiendrebeogo of Burkina Faso came first and second respectively followed Godnes Ayi from Benin.
In U-20 100m Hurdles Females, Safietou Boye from Senegal took first position, followed by Sita Sibiri of Burkina Faso and Naguette Ndiaye of Senegal respectively.
The U-18 110m Hurdles Males on the other hand saw Farouk Tracre of Burkina Faso take the first position, followed by Issiako Ariuw also from Burkina Faso while Martial Gnazale of Cote d’Ivoire takes the third place.
Senegal’s Cheikh Cisse took first place in the U-20 110m Hurdles Males followed by H. Der Some of Burkina Faso and Fusebe Adoho of Benin respectively.
Ghana’s Awudu Felicia and Naseera Quansah took first and scond positions respectively in the U-18 100m females race .
Sara Alida Noufe of Cote d’Ivoire came first in the U-20 female 100m race with Ghana’s Blessing Samuel at second position.
Solomon Hammond and Abdul Razak Sheriff made Ghana proud again as they came first and second respectively in the U-18 male 100m race while Fuseini Ibrahim also took first position in the U-20 male 100m race.
In the U-18 females Triple Jump, Zongo Awa of Burkina Faso came first while Kouao Marie of Cote d’Ivoire and Hondji Prudencia of Benin came second and third respectively.
Sabo Somaila of Burkina Faso came first, followed by Seidu Abdul Basit of Ghana with Fogana Adama of Cote d’Ivoire in the third place of the U-18 male Triple Jump.
Bakounam S. Atinor of Burkina Faso came first in the U-20 Males Triple Jump, with Noukpo Kinnou of Benin and Quatara Abudul of Cote d’Ivoire in the second and third position.
Still on day two action, Dah Aurelie of Burkina Faso came first in the U-18 Javelin females, with Aizonou Elizabeth of Benin coming second and Barro Anna L. of Burkina Faso in the third place.
The U-20 Javelin females also saw Touanda Nouriatou of Burkina Faso in the first position, followed by Adjinda Flsiane and Savi Jeanne of Benin respectively
Yameogo Piuette and Dah Anrelie of Burkina Faso took first and second place respectively while Bookari Nassiyatois of Benin took third place in the U-18 female Discus
