ASAFA POWELL CALLS ON NSA BOSS

Jamaican Sprint legend, Asafa Powell in the early hours of Wednesday paid a courtesy call on the Director General of the National Sports Authority, Prof. Peter Twumasi as part of his familiarization and working tour in Ghana.

The legendary Sprinter used the opportunity to advocate for the re-erection of tartan tracks at the Accra Sports Stadium to encourage and motivate the youth to participate in the Sport of Athetics and develop more talents for Ghana.

Mr. Powell was accompanied by his Ghanaian wife, Alyshia, the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) President, Mr Ben Nunno Mensah, and members from the Ghana Athletics Association.

He used the occasion to advocate for tracks within the various stadia as a way of motivating the youth to participate in the sports.
