The Chief of Kunsu, Nana Agyemang Badu-Duah 1, has donated acres of land to be used for the development of an Astroturf in his Community.
Nana Agyemang made this known when he paid a courtesy call on the Director General of the National Sports Authority to solicit for support on sports development and promotion in his town.
He added that his Community is ever ready for future collaboration with the Authority that will lead to grassroot participation in sports and the creation of sustainability for the Youth in his Community.
Prof. Twumasi in welcoming the royal entourage, appreciated the kind gesture and assured them of his office’s support to make the project a reality adding, that such community projects enhaces talent identification and grassroot participation in sports.
Present at the meeting were, Mr Jeffrey Manza, Ag. Head of Technical, Mr Hubert Leo Mensah, Deputy, M&E, Chairman Brobbey and the Krontihene of Kunsu.
Prior to this meeting, an astroturf project has been approved by the Ghana Gas company in Mankroso, a suburb of the Ahafo-Ano South District of the Ashanti Region for the Community.
