The Ashanti Regional Table Tennis Association held its elective congress on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Youth Center in Ahinsan to elect new leaders of the association.
With this election held in Ashanti, the executives are now eligible to participate in the National elective Congress which has been agreed to be held on December 15, 2023.
Executive members who have been sworn in to serve for the next four (4) years are; Samuel Tuffour- Chairman, Timothy Abaido- 1st Vice Chairman, Nana Oppong Wadie Agyapong – 2nd Vice Chairman , Nana Okotwasa Barimah Ansah – Treasure, Benjamin A. Solomon – Secretary, Emmanuel Guamfi Adjei – Organizer and William Addae Okyere- Technical Director.
Mr Mawuko Afadzin, who is the president of Ghana Table Tennis Association was there to see to the smooth running of the election.
The association will organize table tennis competition on Saturday, October 28,2023 at the National Youth Center.
This competition is a national competition and as such competitors will come from all over the country to participate. This competition will raise awareness and promote table tennis again.
Present at the meeting from the National Sports Authority were; Simon Koku Gluikpor, Head of Technical Department, Oheneba Owusu Ansah and Naseeba Yahaya,PR.
