NSA Boss of Ashanti Welcomes Gallant Athletes Of The Region Who Represented Ghana At CAA In Ndola, Zambia

Ashanti Regional Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Emmanuel Kojo Appiah on Sunday welcomed athletes from Ashanti Region who represented Ghana at the just ended African Junior & Youth Athletics Championship in Zambia.

Benjamin Boakye, Adama Salam, Florence Agyeman and Mariam Yakubu were athletes of the region who joined the Ghana Athletics Team for the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) which took place in Ndola, Zambia last week.

The standout performer was Ashanti Region’s Adama Salam who won bronze medal in the U-18 800m for Ghana.

Acting in the stead of Director General of NSA, Prof. Peter Twumasi, Mr. Emmanuel Kojo Appiah-Ashanti Regional Director of NSA commended Ghana Athletics Association, Sports Ministry and NSA for supporting and sponsoring the national athletes to participate at this year’s event.

Mr Kojo Appiah advised the athletes to always listen to their coaches in an attempt to polish their talents after attaining continental spotlight.

He encouraged them to study well, train hard and maintain their standard to serve as good example to their colleague athletes.
